Kaiate Falls

There was some rain the next day but we made it out to Kaiate Falls. Kaiate Falls is about 30 minutes south of Tauranga.  The trail that we walked was a short walk around and a little muddy but that was expected.  After a few flights of stairs we were at the first part of the waterfall, this was three falls that were tiered. When you stood in the right spot you could see all three flowing down by the rocks that we were standing on.

The bridge that we needed to cross was covered by the water from the falls, so we turned around and headed back to the trail to take it down to the bottom of the falls.  At the bottom of the falls, we crossed a bridge and up some rock stairs to see the falls.  It was misting around the falls which made everything wet and slippery. After a few pictures it was time to head back up the stairs to the trail. The sun started to break through the clouds and it started to get muggy outside.
